North Shore Gas recently upgraded natural gas pipes in Winnetka, and will be inspecting sewer lines as a precaution to make sure that your sanitary and storm sewers were not damaged during the installation process. The contractor may need to inspect the section of your storm sewer that carries rainwater between downspouts and your storm sewer, which could involve temporarily removing your downspouts or digging a few small holes to verify the location of natural gas pipes and storm sewer lines. If the contractor determines that your sanitary or storm sewer was damaged during gas pipe installation, all repairs will be made at no cost to you. Any disruption to downspouts, landscaping, sidewalks, or parkways will also be repaired at no cost.
