Washburne Principal Resigns

Cathy Rosen, principal of Carleton Washburne School in Winnetka, has announced her resignation effective Friday - the Chicago Tribune reports.

”(Rosen) is a valued member of the Winnetka community, and there is no doubt she will be missed,” District 36 Superintendent Trisha Kocanda said in a statement. “The district is grateful for her service and dedication, and wishes her family well as they move forward.”

Citing the declining health of a family member, Rosen’s last day at the school will be February 6. Rochelle Fingerhut will serve as the school’s interim principal until the conclusion of the school year. Her first day will be February 9.
