Wheeler Recognizes - Mr. and Mrs. Hall "Cap" Adams at Sixth Annual Hands & Hearts Reception

Mr. and Mrs. Hall "Cap" Adams of Winnetka, IL receive an award.

FARMINGTON, Conn. - Mr. and Mrs. Hall “Cap” Adams of Winnetka, IL were among six organizations and individuals to receive an award at Wheeler’s sixth annual Hands & Hearts reception on May 19 at The Country Club of Farmington. The event honors individuals and families, corporations and foundations for their outstanding support of Wheeler’s mission to provide equitable access to innovative care that improves health, recovery and growth at all stages of life. Thirty-five philanthropists have been recognized by Wheeler since the inception of this event.

“Cap Adams is one of Wheeler’s most loyal donors. His generosity of spirit is remarkable,” said Susan Walkama, LCSW, president and chief executive officer, Wheeler Clinic. “I thank Cap and his wife Kathleen for their continued support of the children and families in our care.”

Additional 2016 Hands & Hearts Appreciation Award recipients include: Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Bradley Henry Barnes & Leila Upson Barnes Memorial Trust at the Main Street Community Foundation, Connecticut Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters (CPCU) Society Chapter, Inc., The Howey Family, and Mrs. Doris Nims.
