Where To Watch Fireworks in Glencoe on the 4th of July

New viewing area for annual fireworks celebration at Lakefront Park will offer better views.

Lakefront Park will be the new viewing area for the village of Glencoe’s Fourth of July Fireworks celebration in 2015.

The fireworks are set to begin at 9 p.m. on July 4, culminating a busy day of activities the village has planned to celebrate the nation’s birth.

A 2-mile Rotary Fun run will begin at 8 a.m., followed by family games at Kalk Park and an art fair at Wyman Green at 10 a.m.

The village parade will start at 2 p.m. and music by “Shout Out” will start at 6 p.m.

As a safety precaution, the village notes Glencoe Beach will be closed to prepare for the fireworks show. Tokens for Glencoe Beach will be honored at Maple Avenue and Elder Lane beaches in Winnetka.

Street closures will take place on Hazel and Park Avenues (up to Longwood) and Longwood (between Hazel and Park) from 10 p.m. on July 3 to 6 a.m. on July 5.
