Plan to shop in Winnetka on Friday, July 17 and Saturday, July 18. Shopping will be abundant as you hop through the East Elm, West Elm and Hubbard Woods business districts. Area merchants will set up on the sidewalks along with a number of hand selected, specialty vendors. The Winnetka-Northfield Chamber Sidewalk Sale is the North Shore’s most well-known and well-attended sidewalk sale. Visitors browse the unique wares the shops, boutiques, salons, and vendors have to offer at incredible prices. Along with specialty merchandise, shoppers can browse food vendors, charity organizations, and other professional services as they enjoy the day. There will be food trucks on Friday during lunch and on Saturday during the late afternoon-evening at “Let Loose on Lincoln,” A Block Party.
The street fair atmosphere will also include a children’s “Kid-entrepreneur” section, in Hubbard Woods Park, that will feature items made by local children, such as: duct tape wallets, face painting and crafts. There will be music in the streets to liven up the sale.
Plan to stop by “Let Loose on Lincoln” A Block Party, a street-festival that will happen on Saturday, July 18, 12pm to 10 pm, in conjunction with the Sidewalk Sale. There will be music, food trucks and a beer and wine tent. The Disney Recording/TV sensation, RALPH’S WORLD will be taking the stage at 12:00pm. There will be continual music through out the day. The headlining band is THE CHICAGO CATZ and they begin at 8:00pm!
