Winnetka Obituary: John Charles Guyot, 62
John was raised in Winnetka and attended New Trier High School. A memorial service will be Saturday, January 31 in Ohio.

John Charles Guyot, 62, of Chagrin Falls, Ohio passed away on January 17, 2015 at Hospice of the Western Reserve in Cleveland. John was born in Chicago and raised in Winnetka. He attended New Trier High School and was actively involved in performing arts there. He went on to Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio and graduated with a degree in Theatre.
John spent his professional career at Medquest Communications as Publisher and Sales Manager, but his love of theatre continued. He was an active member, set designer, lighting designer, and former president of The Hermit Club in Cleveland-- the nation’s oldest continuously operating private club devoted to amateur performing arts.
John will be lovingly remembered and is survived by his wife Barbara; two children Grace and David; mother Suzanne F. Guyot of Winnetka; sister Suzy (Tom) Lyman of Winnetka; nieces and nephews Maddie, Kate, Johnny, and Charlie (Kristi) Hilbrant.
He was predeceased by his father Charles A. Guyot Jr.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 31 at The Federated Church in Chagrin Falls, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 29101 Health Campus Dr. Westlake Oh 44145.
