Winnetka Obituary: Lanny Patrick Sack, 20

As a role model, Patrick loved mentoring, coaching and developing young athletes, coaching summer and fall baseball.

Lanny Patrick Sack, age 20, of Winnetka; adored son of Shelley Sack and Steven (Heather Ludington); cherished brother of Zachary; beloved step-brother of Nathan and Janie Ludington; dear grandson of Larry (Pat) Hillis, Bill (Judy) Harden, and Joan and the late Lanny Edward Sack; great-grandson of Lorene Morrison; nephew of Kathy Mentink and Stacey Roebuck; cousin of Mackenzie Mentink.

Patrick was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, was a talented golfer, and a former baseball player at New Trier High School. He attended Kansas University following graduation from NTHS. He was a member of Harvest Bible Chapel and volunteered at the Winnetka Bible Church Vacation School. As a role model, Patrick loved mentoring, coaching and developing young athletes, coaching summer and fall baseball. Patrick worked at Strike Zone in Glenview and also at Adventures in Learning in the summer.

He loved his family, friends, his Christian faith, and his French Bulldog, Porkchop.

A celebration of Patrick’s life will take place on Saturday, January 9, 2016, at 3:00 p.m. followed by a reception from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at Winnetka Congregational Church, 725 Pine Street, Winnetka, IL 60093.
The Church doors will open at 2:00 p.m.
