In an attempt to keep porch pirates at bay, the department encourages residents to follow these safety tips:
- Schedule deliveries when you or or a family member will be home and able to accept the package upon delivery.
- Request a "signature only" delivery. The delivery service will not leave the package at your door if no one is available to sign for it.
- Talk to a trusted neighbor who will be home and can accept the package for you.
