Winnetka Resident Named Chairman Of Western Golf Association

Winnetka resident J. Andrew Langan succeeds the former Chairman and will serve a two-year term from 2026-2027.

WINNETKA, IL — Winnetka resident J. Andrew Langan has been named Chairman of the Western Golf Association.

Langan will lead the WGA and Evans Scholars Foundation during a pivotal period of growth ahead of the ESF's 100th anniversary in 2030. He succeeds former Chairman Steve Colnitis and will serve a two-year term from 2026-2027.

“The WGA and ESF are entering a pivotal chapter,” Langan said “I’m grateful for the opportunity to help lead the organization as we continue expanding opportunities through the Evans Scholars Foundation and build momentum toward our 100th anniversary in 2030."

Langan has served as a WGA Director since 2016, carrying out duties as Illinois State Chair and Chair of the Audit Committee within the organization. He has extensive experience as litigation and trial counsel at Kirkland & Ellis LLP and has been recognized by Chambers USA, The Legal 500 U.S. and Best Lawyers®.

His term as Chairman begins as the WGA, which conducts six professional and amateur golf championships, executes a strategic plan focused on continuous growth, expanded youth caddie opportunities and increased access to college education for students nationwide.

“Andy has been a trusted leader within the WGA, and his perspective and judgment will be invaluable as we continue a strong period of growth,” John Kaczkowski, President and CEO of the Western Golf Association, said. “He understands our mission and brings the experience needed to help guide the organization in the years ahead.”
