Winnetka Schools District 36 will implement a district-sponsored social-emotional learning program to better serve students while seeking cost savings, the Chicago Tribune reports.
The first phase of the Social, Organizational and Academic Readiness (SOAR) program was unanimously approved by District 36 board members on Jan. 27. The new program will enable the district to offer increased services locally before considering out-of-district options for its students.
