Woman, 61, Dies After 3-Car Crash On Willow Road In Winnetka
Emergency personnel arrived to find two drivers trapped in their cars, police said.

WINNETKA, IL — One motorist died and another was hospitalized after they were involved in three-car crash Monday in Winnetka.
Police and fire personnel were dispatched to a report of people trapped inside a burning car after a crash shortly before 7:30 p.m. in the 1300 block of Willow Road, authorities said.
Two of the drivers were trapped in their cars and had to be extricated by fire crews, police said. Both were taken to area hospitals, where one later died.

Darlene Kerber, 61, of Berkeley, was pronounced dead shortly after 8 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
Images from the scene showed heavy front-end damage to two cars, indicating they collided head-on near the intersection of Willow and Hibbard roads.

The Winnetka Police Department requested help investigating the incident from the Major Crash Assistance Team of the North Regional Task Force, which was on scene investigating late Monday night.
