From The Wonder Years to Live with Kelly? Savage a Favorite to Co-Host Daytime Talk Show
Glencoe native Fred Savage could land a full-time gig alongside Kelly Ripa.

Fred Savage has had a distinguished acting career, both as a child and adult.
But he’ll always be known for his role as “Kevin Arnold” on the hit 1980s sitcom “The Wonder Years.”
That could change, however, if a Las Vegas oddsmaker is right about who could replace Michael Strahan as Kelly Ripa’s co-host on “Live with Kelly.”

While Savage isn’t the number one favorite, he is tied with late-night talk show host Andy Cohn for second, according to oddsmaker Bovada, the Chicago Tribune first reported.
CNN Anchor Anderson Cooper, a friend of Ripa’s, is the favorite at 3-to-1 odds. Savage and Cohen’s odds are 7-to-2. Seth Meyers, Mario Lopez and Alec Baldwin are among the other strong possibilities according to Bovada.

Savage, a native of north suburban Glencoe, is scheduled to host the show three times next week and has already co-hosted twice since Strahan left.
