Township Collects Over 5,000 Children's Books

New Trier Township in partnership with the Village of Glencoe and the Winnetka Presbyterian Church collected over 5,000 children’s books between July 19- August 3rd
The recipient of the collection was Bernie's Book Bank , a Lake Bluff based non-profit organization that sources, processes and distributes quality new and gently used children’s books to significantly increase book ownership among at-risk infants, toddlers and school-age children throughout Chicagoland.
Supervisor Alan Goldberg of New Trier Township stated, “The generosity in the North Shore never ceases to amaze, we are grateful for all these wonderful book donations. The work that Bernie’s Book Bank does is critical to preparing children for school, and we’re glad to help with their mission.”
