Appealing a Zoning Decision Will Now Cost You $1,000

Last month, there was no fee associated with appealing the decision of a zoning officer.

Appealing the decision of a zoning officer in Woodridge is now going to cost you -- $1,000 to be exact. 

Formerly there was no application fee for appealing such a decision. 

The village board approved the new fee along with several other amendments to village code at its meeting on May 12.

According to village documents, the fee "is proposed to cover the staff time and legal fees associated with processing an appeal application."
