Chicago Motor Cars Gets Green Light From Woodridge Village Board
The board's unanimous approval includes a $1.5 million sales tax incentive agreement.

WOODRIDGE, IL — The Woodridge Village Board gave its unanimous approval for Chicago Motor Cars to build a 68,400 square foot dealership and repair center at 900 Boughton Rd.
At its March 19 meeting, the city council approved a special use permit for the dealership and also established an economic incentive agreement. Per the incentive agreement, the village will provide a $1.5 million sales tax rebate to help fund remodeling of the building and site for this flagship location.
According to village documents, it's projected that Chicago Motor Cars could use its sales tax to pay off the incentive rebate within eight years. It's estimated Chicago Motor Cars will be able to pay back $1.2 million in that eight-year period.

The 10-year agreement calls for the village to collect 100 percent of the dealership's first $150,000 in sales tax revenue.
For the agreement to be effective, Chicago Motor Cars must meet the following conditions.

- Obtain the 900 Boughton Rd. property by May 31, 2026
- Get a certificate of occupancy by Nov. 30, 2025
- Must provide the village with their budget and receipts for reimbursement
Chicago Motor Cars conducts most of its business online, so would not require a large car inventory. The dealership sells "exotic" and "luxury" cars with an average price of over $100K, village documents show. The allows Chicago Motor Cars to house 25 vehicles and have a center for car repairs
Chicago Motor Cars also has locations in Naperville and West Chicago.
