I will work hard during this time of transition to support our new superintendent,
assistant superintendent and principals. I will do my best to build good working
relationships and trust with all the board members and administrators.
Our School Board has tremendous respect for and confidence in our administrators.
During this time of transition, it is important for the School Boards to stay focused on the goals and priorities and to express that confidence by not micro-managing our new leaders.
A change in leadership brings opportunities for a district to accomplish new and
exciting things for students and the community. A school board should be unified
in its support of new administrators and knows its role is to establish policies
and evaluate progress. My goal is to set the stage for our newest leaders to be as
successful as possible.

As a current board member, I was instrumental in selecting these individuals. One of the primary reasons I want to remain on the board is to maintain the harmonious culture of the district and aid in the smooth transition of the new personnel. Our new superintendent and Junior HS principal are current members of the District. I want to do all I can to assure their success in their new positions, and the
success of the new additions to the district.
During times of transition in any organization overseen by a board the best thing to do is conduct business as usual. If additional support is required, it can be addressed on as a needed basis.
Woodridge is very fortunate that we can attract top quality candidates to fill open positions. Working to make the transition we have coming is one of my top priorities as a board candidate. There is a culture in this district that has taken years to develop and I want to make sure that all of our new employees and new board members understand the "Woodridge" way of doing things. Everyone in the district works together in an atmosphere of trust, respect and good will to make the District the best it can possibly be.
These changes will obviously present several challenges, but they also present an opportunity to make our schools even better. By working with new and existing board members, I hope to make these transitions as smooth as possible by helping maintain focus on district policies and continuing to look for new and more effective ways to improve our schools.
