Felony Charges Sought After Snapchat Threat At Montini Catholic High School
Police say they are seeking felony charges against a juvenile who made a threat against Montini Catholic High School via Snapchat.
LOMBARD, IL — Police are seeking felony charges against a juvenile from outside of Illinois after a threat was made via Snapchat against Montini Catholic High School, 19W070 16th St., Lombard. The threat was found not to be credible after an investigation.
On Feb. 8, police say they learned of a threat on Snapchat "directed toward students who attend Montini Catholic High School," according to a news release from the DuPage County Sheriff's Office. An investigation led the sheriff's office to find that the threat was not credible.
“The DuPage County Sheriff’s Office and Montini Catholic High School take
all threats to public safety and student safety very seriously,” DuPage County Undersheriff Eddie Moore said in a statement.

Moore added, “As a precautionary measure, the school was placed on e-learning before the identification of the juvenile responsible for the threat by the school president.”
