Fr Norbert Raszeja, CR Celebrated his 50th Anniversary of Ordination

St. Scholastica Parish of Woodridge also celebrated Fr. Norbert's 10th Anniversary as their Pastor during the week-end of May 14 & 15.

After each Mass a reception was held allowing the St. Scholastica parish family to personnaly congratulate and thank Fr. Norbert for his kind and compassionate spirtual leadership.

The Most Reverend Ronald A. Hicks (Bishop of Joliet) sent congratulations and many blessings to Fr. Norbert on his Fiftieth Jubilee of Priesthood Ordination. He also thanked Fr. Norbert for having served the Lord and his Church in a dedicated and loving way throught the past 50 years of his priestly ministry. Bishop Hisks refered to Fr. Norbert as a true ambassador for the Lord and a blessing for the Diocese of Joliet.

Mayor Cunningham's Village Proclamation recognized Fr. Norbert's faithful service to the Woodridge Community since April 1, 2012 when he first arrived in Woodridge. She praised Fr. Norbert for his dedicated leadership to many Community Outreach Programs with compassion, outstanding care, grace and incredible devotion and kindness.

Mayor Cunningham thanked Fr. Norbert for being a kind, wise and humble leader who is always ready to lend a helping hand and who, with his enduring patience, understanding, gentle sense of humor and concern for everyone, provides the willing eagerness for people to come together, work together and help each other.
