Woodridge Drive-Through Food Bank Serves 198 Cars
The village bought a truckload of food from the Northern Illinois Food Bank and passed it out to families in need.

WOODRIDGE, IL — The Village of Woodridge bought a truckload of food from the Illinois Food Bank and hosted its first drive-through food drive Friday. In total, the village passed out food to 198 cars, Village Administrator Al Stonitsch told Patch.
Stonitsch told Patch food was passed out to cars in a drive-through fashion. He said demand for the food was so great that the village had to turn away 50 cars when they ran out of food to disburse.
Stonitsch said, "We truly felt terrible to have to do that, but we simply had no remaining food to give."
