The Woodridge Park District was recently awarded the “2011 Park Professional of the Year” by the Midwest Institute of Park Executives.
The award is typically given to an individual member who reflects outstanding service in the park profession; however MIPE executives felt Woodridge Park District was deserving of the award as a district because of their involvement and commitment to MIPE.
According to an MIPE board member, Woodridge Park District has the largest group attendance and is “always willing to offer a helping hand to fellow members."
