$500 Scholarships Awarded to Yorkville Seniors

The seniors wrote essays on how to combat youth drug and alcohol abuse.

YORKVILLE, IL — Two graduating seniors at Yorkville High School have been awarded $500 scholarships.

Katherine Hacker received a $500 scholarship awarded to a current of the Kendall County Juvenile Justice Council member and Alexa Weiss received a $500 scholarship awarded to a graduating senior who resides in Kendall County.

Hacker and Weiss both completed essays that detailed creative ways for the Juvenile Justice Council to combat youth drug use and alcohol abuse.
