• 1 Pedestrian Dead, Another Hurt In Hit-And-Run In Yorkville: Police (patch.com) — Yorkville residents should know that a 23-year-old man has died and another adult was injured after a hit-and-run in a parking lot off East Veterans Parkway on Sunday. Police say a suspect is in custody, the involved vehicle was found in Oswego, and there's no indication of an ongoing threat as investigators continue gathering evidence.
   

• Yorkville volleyball knocks off Oswego for first conference victory (shawlocal.com) — Yorkville volleyball fans just saw the Foxes notch their first conference win of the season, sweeping rival Oswego 25-18, 25-23 on their home court in Yorkville. Senior hitter Ryleigh Springborn led a balanced attack as the team regrouped from late-set jitters to close out the match and extend their recent success against the Panthers.
