• Yorkville police heighten citations of semitrucks using residential streets (shawlocal.com) — Yorkville police are stepping up enforcement of the eight-ton weight limit on residential streets, especially along Corneils Road near the Caledonia subdivision and BrightFarms facility. After dozens of stops and new signage on Route 47 and Corneils, officers say they'll keep targeting semitrucks cutting through neighborhoods while working with the city, IDOT, and local businesses to improve safety and compliance.
