Annual Extension Pork Chop Dinner on New Day, Time

Tickets Available for July 17 event at the Extension Office

Yorkville, IL — Tickets are still available for the annual Friends of Extension and 4-H Foundation Pork Chop Luncheon on Sunday, July 17 from 12 to 2 p.m. at the Kendall County Fairgrounds in Yorkville.

Enjoy a savory Sunday afternoon meal with good company and support local University of Illinois Extension and 4-H Youth Development programs.

All proceeds will help support the community programs provided by the University of Illinois Extension in Kendall County, including 4-H Youth Development, Home and Community Education Association, Master Gardeners, Master Naturalists and Nutrition and Wellness.

Tickets will be available at the Kendall County Extension office until Friday, July 15. Prices are as follows: a two-chop dinner for $12, one-chop dinner for $11, and a pork-burger meal for $7. A limited number of tickets are available at the door for an extra dollar charge per ticket.

The lunch will be at the Kendall County Fairgrounds on Route 71, about one mile west of Route 47. There will be both dine-in and to-go service available.

The Kendall-Grundy Pork Producers generously donate their time to prepare the meal and grill the delicious fresh pork chops and pork-burgers. Volunteers from Friends of Extension, 4-H Foundation and Extension Council, Master Gardeners, 4-H Club leaders and 4-H members all donate their time to set up, serve and clean up after the meal.
