Boyfriend Accused Of Kidnapping, Sexual Assault Arrested

Jeffrey Heth was arrested Friday, days after a warrant was issued in the January incident.

YORKVILLE, IL — A Leland man was taken into custody at his home Friday, days after a warrant was issued for his arrest on charges he held his girlfriend against her will and sexually assaulted her. Jeffrey Heth, 35, of the 2000 block of 45th Road, was arrested June 15 by members of the United States Marshals Great Lakes Fugitive Task Force, according to the Kendall County Sheriff's Department. The marshals were assisted by the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office and the LaSalle County Sheriff’s Office .

Heth was wanted in connection with a Jan. 4 assault in Yorkville. The victim told police she was held against her will and sexually assaulted by Heth, her boyfriend.

After a six-month investigation, Heth was charged with aggravated criminal sexual assault, three counts of criminal sexual assault, aggravated domestic battery and unlawful restraint. He had been a fugitive in Kendall County since June 6.

Heth's bond was set at $150,000.

In addition to the Kendall County warrant, Heth also had a Cicero warrant for failure to appear in court for possession of a controlled substance.
