Child Porn Found in Yorkville Man's Home

YORKVILLE, IL - A 58-year-old Yorkville man has been charged with possession of child pornography. The arrest came as part of “Operation Glass House,” a statewide initiative to apprehend those actively download and trade child porn online, according to a release from the office of Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan.

Henry Wojewski, 58, of the 500 block of Yellowstone Lane, was charged with one count of possessing child pornography containing images of a minor under the age of 18, a class 3 felony punishable by up to five years in prison. Wojewski was also charged with seven counts of possessing child pornography containing images of a minor under the age of 13, a class 2 felony punishable by up to seven years in prison.

Wojewski was released after posting a $100,000 bond.

Attorney General Lisa Madigan’s investigators, along with the Yorkville Police Department and the Kendall County State’s Attorney’s Office, conducted a search of Wojewski’s home and arrested him after they found the child porn.

“Child pornography is not a victimless crime,” Attorney General Lisa Madigan said in a press release. “Whenever an offender downloads or trades these horrific images, it perpetuates the sexual assault of children, causing further devastation to the victims. We will continue to be relentless in apprehending these offenders.”

Yorkville Police Department Deputy Chief Terry Klingel said the department is committed to putting child porn offenders behind bars.

“The support from the Attorney General’s investigators has made it possible for us to identify these offenders and stop them from further victimizing children,” Klingel said in a release.
