Crusade Burger Bar Property Damaged In Hit-And-Run Crash: Yorkville PD

An SUV hit a car in the Crusade Burger Bar parking lot before crashing into the business Tuesday evening, according to Yorkville police.

YORKVILLE, IL — Crusade Burger Bar's property in Yorkville was damaged after a hit-and-run crash at the restaurant Tuesday afternoon, police said.

Yorkville officers were dispatched to the burger spot, 209 S. Bridge St., at about 4:45 p.m. after receiving a report that an SUV hit a car in the parking lot before crashing into the business, according to police. The building sustained damage to its wall.

The restaurant is operated by Minor Threat Restaurant Group, which runs Sovereign and Sanctuary Events in Plainfield and the new Crusade location in Crest Hill. The burger bar subsequently closed for the night Tuesday "to ensure safety of the building and patrons."

Crews from the Bristol Kendall Fire Protection District were dispatched to the restaurant to evaluate two patrons for minor injuries. Police said they did not require hospitalization.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing. Police said they will release further information as it's made available.
