Girl Takes Mom's Car, Drives Without License: Yorkville Police

Yorkville Police say they discovered a juvenile female was driving her mom's car without a driver's license, or mom knowing.

YORKVILLE, IL — Yorkville Police say they arrested a juvenile after they discovered she had taken her mom's car and drove it without a valid driver's license. Police reported they were called to the scene of a broken down vehicle in the southbound lane of Route 47, a quarter-mile north of Galena Road at 6:50 a.m., June 12, where they found an unlocked, empty car, with the keys in the ignition. They say a short time later a juvenile arrived with gasoline for the car.

Officers say upon investigation they learned the female has never had a driver's license and that her mom didn't know she took the car.
