Hit and run
Yorkville Police say they were notified of a hit and run accident that took place at 11:50 p.m., June 8 in the 500 block of Poplar Drive. Police say that's when a car hit a 2016 Chevrolet Traverse and left the scene. An investigation to find the car is underway.

Saturday, June 9
Theft over $500
Yorkville Police are investigating after they say a theft was reported at 7 a.m., June 9 in the 200 block of E. Hydraulic Avenue where a wallet and several other items were reported missing, totalling a value of over $500.

Sunday, June 10
Retail Theft
Yorkville Police say two juveniles stole almost $400 worth of merchandise from a business at 1:50 p.m., June 9 in the 900 block of Erika Lane. Police say the two juveniles were referred to juvenile probations for charges.
