The Chiefs Association has been working on developing a memorial since 2013. In addition to honoring those who have lost their lives in the line of duty in Kendall County law enforcement agencies, the memorial would be a general memorial to all officers who die while on duty.

Additional fundraisers are being planned for the project, and donations earmarked for the police memorial can also be sent to the Kendall County Association of Chiefs of Police, P.O. Box 743, Yorkville, Illinois, 60560.
