House Trailer Broken Into at Hide-A-Way Lakes

This is the third burglary reported at the campground within the past six months.

A burglary was reported once again at the Hide-A-Way Lakes Campground in Yorkville.

Police were called to the campground at 2:18 p.m. Dec. 22. Someone had forced their way into a house trailer between Dec. 16 and Dec. 22 and removed electronics valued at $950, as well as caused $700 in damage.

This burglary is the latest in a string of incidents at the campground. In November, police took a report of a burglarized camper. In July, a computer was stolen from a safe. Last month police responded to the area for a report of shots fired. Police found spent shell casings, but no damage or injured people.
