Kendall County Sheriff Appointed To Criminal Justice Agency Board

Sheriff Dwight A. Baird has been appointed as new board member of the Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority.

KENDALL COUNTY, IL — The Kendall County Sheriff's Office has announced Sheriff Dwight A. Baird has been appointed as a member of the Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority. According to the sheriff's office, the agency members are key leaders from the justice system and the public who work together to identify issues in the state's criminal justice system, and propose and evaluate ways to address those problems.

As a member of this agency, Baird will help to ensure the criminal justice system in Illinois is effective and efficient.

“I am grateful to have the opportunity to serve on the authority that has the statutory task of identifying critical issues facing the criminal justice system," Sheriff Baird said in a release. "We will review the current policy, procedures and state legislation, and recommend the best practices to address those critical issues. I am both humbled and honored to serve as a board member of the Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority and to have a voice at the table.”
