Learn More About Yorkville Downtown Overlay At Open House
City officials are asking for residents' feedback on future plans and concepts for the downtown.

YORKVILLE, IL — City of Yorkville officials are asking for the public's input on future plans and concepts for the downtown area at a June 22 open house, set for 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 22, at River's Edge Theater, 217 N. Bridge St. Residents will learn more about the status of the streetscape master plan and get the chance to offer input.
"This will coincide with the first night of the Summer Solstice Festival. Feel free to stop by, review the planning process, and let us know what you think," the city said on Facebook.
A public meeting on the Downtown Overlay District was also held in February.

Created in 2016, the "Yorkville Plan" calls for a "vibrant mix of businesses, institutional uses, cultural offerings and recreational amenities along with an attractive streetscape and urban design environment that attracts shoppers and visitors alike" for downtown Yorkville.
