Name Released in Fatal Yorkville Crash
The 51-year-old Yorkville woman was attempting to make a turn but crossed into oncoming traffic.

YORKVILLE, IL — The name of the woman killed in a two-vehicle crash Monday has been released.
Candice M. Robinson, 51, of the 100 block of E. Stagecoach Trail in Yorkville, was traveling southbound on Route 47 when she entered into the center turn lane to turn left onto eastbound Somonauk Street, according to Yorkville police.
Robinson then crossed into the northbound lane and struck the rear double axles of a semi with the driver’s side front fender and door area. Heavy damage was caused to both vehicles.

Robinson was evaluated by medics but declared deceased.
Both vehicles were towed due to damage. The Illinois State Police assisted officers with the investigation, which is ongoing.
