Edwin Kuske, age 82, Sandwich, passed away Monday, Feb. 18, 2013 in Sandwich. He was born May 21, 1930 in Germany, the son of Ludwig and Elenor (Henning) Kuske.
Edwin was united in marriage on March 26, 1955 in Germany to Ruth E. Seidel and they spent the next 40 happy years together until her passing on May 3, 1995. He was later united in marriage on May 10, 1997 to Ruthie Brookings Nilsen and they have spent the next 16 happy years together. Mr. Kuske was a longtime member of Cross Lutheran Church, Yorkville. Edwin especially enjoyed boating and fishing with his family and friends. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle who will be deeply missed.

Edwin is survived by his wife, Ruthie Kuske, Sandwich; his children, Ute (Gary) Gustafson, Katy, Texas, David (Nancy) Kuske, Naperville, and Irene (Tim) Janota, Pompano Beach, Fla.; his grandchildren, Brian and Megan Kuske, both of Chicago, Kirsten Gustafson, Aberdeen, Scotland and Rachel Gustafson, San Francisco; also several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife Ruth Kuske; and three siblings.

Funeral Service will be held 10 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013 at Cross Lutheran Church, 8609 Route 47, Yorkville, with Pastor Erik Gauss, officiating. Interment will follow in Cross Lutheran Cemetery, Yorkville.
Friends may visit from 5:00 until 8:00 PM, Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013 at Larson-Nelson Funeral Home, 410 East Countryside Pkwy, (Routes 34 & 47) Yorkville.
