Oswego Student Dies After Asthma Attack Complications
Visitation for Donja Jamonti Williams will be held at 10 a.m. Dec. 2 at Main Baptist Church located at 814 E. Galena Blvd. in Aurora.

A 13-year-old Oswego student has died from complications following an asthma attack, according to a statement from Oswego School District 308.
Donja Jamonti (DJ) Williams, a student at Traughber Junior High School, died unexpectedly Tuesday, Nov. 24.
“There are no words to express our grief and heartfelt sympathy for DJ’s family. Family and friends have shared how DJ loved skateboarding, listening to music, dancing and showing people how to dance,” said Oswego Schools Superintendent Matthew Wendt in a statement. “He was a likable young man with tremendous talents and a bright future. I have recently learned how kind and caring DJ was and how he touched the lives of so many people.”

Any students who are having difficulty with Williams’ death can visit one of the school’s grief counselors. A crisis counseling team also will be available at Traughber Junior High School for those might need assistance. Anyone seeking support should contact Traughber Junior High Principal Tarah Fowler at 630-636-2700.
Visitation for Williams will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 2 at Main Baptist Church located at 814 E. Galena Blvd. in Aurora. Funeral services will be held immediately following at 11 a.m.

The burial will be at River Hills Memorial Park at 1650 S. River Street, Batavia. Following the burial, the family will go to the Main Baptist Church located at 814 E. Galena Blvd. in Aurora. Flowers and/or donations may be sent to the church.
