• Yorkville launches program to make walking, biking to school safer and easier; wants parent feedback (shawlocal.com) — Yorkville is rolling out a new Community Travel Plan to make walking and biking to local schools safer, and city officials want your input now. Residents can complete an online survey, mark problem spots on an interactive map, and attend an in-person engagement event this fall as walk audits are conducted around Yorkville School District 115 and nearby private schools. 
• 2 Yorkville District 115 elementary students selected as prestigious National Math Stars (shawlocal.com) — Two Yorkville School District 115 elementary students have been named National Math Stars, earning a decade of advanced math support, mentorship, and enrichment opportunities. One attends Bristol Bay Elementary and the other Autumn Creek, and district leaders say the honor reflects both the students' passion for math and the strong backing of Yorkville teachers and families.
