Claire Pavia's class at Cross Evangelical Lutheran School had some special activities to celebrate a special cookie.
A special thanks to parent Lori Dervis for providing the following information and these photographs.
teacher Claire Pavia's 1st grade class recently celebrated the 100th anniversary of the Oreo cookie.
During the week, they incorporated activities into language arts, math and science that focused on Oreos. They did writing activities from the perspective of the Oreo cookie, estimated how many cookies in a package, and pondered whether the double stuff Oreo really has double the stuff.

In another activity, students were given 100 coins and a menu for an Oreo buffet. The kids had to write down what they would order, how much it would cost and how much they'd have left over. They also had taste testing and graphing activities too.
