UPDATE: The Aurora teen who was discovered missing earlier in the week has been found safe.

Jaclyn is an “intellectually delayed” African-American who is about 5’8’’ and weighs around 170 lbs, according to the Aurora Police Department.

“It is not known for sure what she was wearing when she went missing but her family said she probably had on jeans and blue, flat shoes with gold studs and was wearing a pink backpack,” Aurora police said in a news release.

Police have been working around the clock on their search for Jaclyn and are being assisted by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and the Montgomery Police Department, police said. Numerous tips of reported sightings have been investigated by police but none have led to Jaclyn’s whereabouts.

Late Tuesday night, investigators received a call saying that around 9:20 a.m. Monday, a girl fitting Jaclyn’s description was seen getting into an older model brown sedan in the area of Routes 30 and 25 over the Fox River in Montgomery, police said.

The driver of the car was described as a white male who appeared to be thin. The vehicle was similar to a Buick from the 1990s and was possibly a two-door and had “sharper” edges. It was last seen eastbound on Route 30, according to police.

Anyone who may come across her or has information on her whereabouts is asked to call Aurora Police Investigations at 630-256-5500 or 911.
