Report Of Man With Gun Turned Out To Be Rabbit Hunt: Yorkville PD

Yorkville, Kendall County law enforcement crime reports for July 24-25.

YORKVILLE, IL —

Tuesday, July 24

Disorderly conduct, fleeing police, aggravated DUI

Kendall County Sheriff's Office officials reported Brent Lee Green, 32, of Walsh Drive, Yorkville, was sentenced around 1 p.m., July 24 on charges of fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, aggravated DUI causing great bodily harm, and disorderly conduct.

Driving on suspended or revoked license

Kendall County Sheriff's Office officials reported John Patrick Sheridan, 49, of Canyon Trail, Yorkville, was arrested on an adult felony charge just after 2 p.m., July 24. He was charged with operating on a foreign license while revoked or suspended just after 2:15 p.m.

Wednesday, July 25

Suspicious circumstance

Yorkville Police Department officers reported responding to the 4500 block of Rosenwinkel Street at 7:53 p.m., July 25 for a report of a man in the Bristol Bay subdivision wearing a camouflage shirt, ballistic vest and carrying a possible firearm. Police say that after an extensive search of the area by Yorkville PD, Montgomery PD and Kendall County Sheriff's Office Deputies, officers encountered the man who lives in the 4500 block of Gardiner Avenue. Officers say they determined he had been in the area of his home with a BB gun searching for a "nuisance" rabbit, although the gun wasn't discharged at any time.
