Sex Offender Found with Child Porn

Randall J. Anderson, 60, was previously charged with aggravated criminal sexual abuse. His victim was 13 years old at the time.

YORKVILLE, IL — A registered sex offender was found to be in possession of child porn after police conducted an address verification on him.

Randall J. Anderson, 60, of the 0-100 block of Riverside Drive in unincorporated Yorkville, was charged with 12 counts of possession of child pornography.

Deputies with the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office conducted a sex offender address verification on Anderson Dec. 4. During the verification, deputies obtained information which led to a criminal investigation by the sheriff’s office in connection with investigators from the Illinois Attorney General’s Office High Tech Crime Bureau.

On Dec. 22, a search warrant was executed on Anderson’s home. He was taken into custody without incident. His charges are all class 1 felonies due to his three prior convictions involving child porn.

According to the Illinois Sex Offender Database, Anderson was previously charged with two counts of possession of child pornography and aggravated criminal sexual abuse. His victim was 13 at the time of the abuse and Anderson was 49.

Anderson’s bail was set at $750,000 and he is currently being held at the Kendall County Jail.
