Suspicious Man Rings Woman's Doorbell, Smashes Her Car

Woman did not know who man was, cops say.

Yorkville police investigated a report of a suspicious male who rang a woman’s doorbell in the early morning hours of April 7.

The woman called 911 to report that someone was ringing her doorbell in the 800 block of Hampton Lane around 4 a.m.

When she looked out her window, she saw an unknown male standing outside on her driveway. The woman then heard a bang.

Police said when she went outside to investigate the rear drivers’ side window had been smashed.

Damages are estimated at $60. Officers looked for the man but couldn’t find him.
