Threatening Text Messages, Domestic Battery: Yorkville Blotter

All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Jan. 26

Brandon V. Baermann, 31, of the 700 block of John St., was charged with domestic battery. The arrest occurred in the 700 block of John St. Baermann allegedly pushed and kicked a woman to the ground.

Jan. 27

Martrell J. Burns, 26, of the 500 block of Pennsylvania Ave. was charged with domestic battery. Burns allegedly struck his girlfriend in the side of the head with a closed fist. The incident occurred in the 100 block of E. Schoolhouse Road.

Jan. 28

A resident in the 400 block of West Center Street reported that she had been receiving threatening text messages from a former boyfriend.

A business in the 800 block of Erica Lane reported a jacket was stolen from their store.
