Watch Skittles Roll Down the Production Line at Yorkville Factory
The Skittles line will add 75 jobs to the area.

YORKVILLE, IL — A new product is now rolling off the lines at the Yorkville Wrigley Factory and it’s the No. 1 non-chocolate confection in the U.S. Market.

Casey Keller, president of Wrigley Americas, said the decision to add a Skittles line to the Wrigley factory was born out of necessity.
“We need more Skittles,” Keller said. “We need to accommodate the growth.”

There’s no sour side to the production of this sweet treat. The $50 million, 145,000 sq. ft line will also add 75 more jobs to the area.
Wrigley, a subsidiary of Mars, has been operating in Illinois for 125 years.
“We’re proud to be in the state where originally we started and we’re proud to be building new facilities and new production in the state where we originated,” Keller said.
