Woman Locks Keys in Car and Gets Arrested

When officers went to help, they discovered the Yorkville resident had a misdemeanor warrant out for her arrest.

A Yorkville woman who locked her keys in her car was arrested when officers learned she had an active warrant out for her.

Lydia E. Gonzalez, 60, of the 400 block of W. Kendall Dr., contacted police Nov. 19 when she locked her keys in her running car.

Officers were able to unlock the vehicle, but when they performed a registration check, officers learned she had a valid warrant out.

Officers arrested Gonzalez without incident.
