Yorkville Blood Drive: Donate Blood, Get Free Ice Cream
Donors age 17 and older will get a free sundae from Grandma Rosie's, a T-shirt and a pass to Siegel's Cottonwood Farm Pumpkin Fest.

YORKVILLE, IL — The Yorkville Educational Foundation, in partnership with Bristol Bay PTO will host a community blood drive with Heartland Blood Centers on September 27, 2018 from 3:00pm to 7:30pm at the Yorkville High School Library, 797 Game Farm Road, Doors 27-28.

“Yorkville Educational Foundation is committed to strengthening our community and helping our students, staff, and community members who rely on these donations,” said Alicia Lingane, president. “This blood drive is an opportunity to help save lives and give back to our community.”

With someone in the U.S. needing blood every two seconds, donors are always needed within the local Yorkville community. A single blood donation can save up to three lives. There’s no better feeling than knowing that your blood donation may give someone a second chance at life.
According to Heartland Blood Center, donors with all blood types are needed, especially those with types O negative and B positive. Donors age 17 and older who sign up will receive a coupon for a free sundae at Grandma Rosie’s, a free shirt and a pass to Siegel’s Cottonwood Farm Pumpkin Fest. Donors who are 16 years old can sign up with parental consent form.
