Mason’s journey to the show began in February when his mom, Christina, sent in an online audition.
“About a month later, they emailed her back and asked me to come to Pasadena, California to audition,” Mason said.

The audition was “very nerve-wracking,” but cool because he got to meet a bunch of new people.
Mason wowed the crowd and the judges with his extreme weapons moves and acrobatics.
“It was really fun performing my weapons in front of over 3,000 people in the audience and four celebrities,” Mason said.
Those celebrities include Mel B, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel and Simon Cowell, who is notorious for his harsh criticisms.
“I didn’t know he was mean until some people said so before I went on,” Mason said.
He also got to meet host Nick Cannon.
Now, Mason will move on to the judge cuts, where people are told in groups whether they’re moving on or going home.
Even if he doesn’t win, Mason’s happy he got to be on TV and meet a lot of new people.
“I showed America I’ve got talent,” Bumba said.
