Yorkville Business Fails Liquor Compliance Checks

The violator was issued a local ordinance ticket and ordered to appear at an adjudication meeting.

One business was found to be out of compliance with local liquor ordinances when it sold alcohol to an underage person.

According to a press release from the Yorkville Police Department, the department conducted liquor compliance checks on local businesses March 18. An employee at Casa Santiago, located at 227 Heustis St., sold alcohol to a minor, police said.

The Yorkville Police Department will be conducting quarterly alcohol and tobacco compliance checks with the hope of reducing violations through enforcement and education of licensees.
