Yorkville Fireworks Rescheduled For River Fest

YORKVILLE, IL — Stormy weather forced the cancellation of the United City of Yorkville Fourth of July fireworks, but not to worry. The city said the show is tentatively rescheduled for Saturday, July 14, as part of the Yorkville River Fest.

Scattered storms were expected to continue in the area Wednesday evening, with the possibility of more storms Thursday. A severe storm warning was in effect for the area until 10 p.m.

Rescheduled Fireworks: List Of Chicago-Area Shows

Fireworks events in Joliet, New Lenox, Naperville's Ribfest and throughout the area were also cancelled or postponed due to the weather.
