Yorkville Job Opening: Maintenance Worker, Sewer Division

YORKVILLE, IL — The United City of Yorkville is hiring. The City's Public Works Department's Sewer Division is looking for a qualified person to fill the position of Maintenance Worker I. This role works with all divisions of Public Works and primary tasks within the Sewer Division include, but aren't limited to:

• Assisting with the maintenance of the sanitary sewer mains, lift stations, manholes, vehicles and equipment.
• Must be available for 24-hour call for duties including snow plowing and emergency maintenance as necessary.
• Should have previous construction experience, and a Class B CDL with air brake endorsement.
• Three to five years of relevant Public Works experience is preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills are required.

According to City officials, the starting salary for this position is $41,500, DOQ. Qualified candidates can download an application on the City's website.
